I’m Claire Antrobus: a curator-turned-arts-manager. I am based in York and work across the UK and internationally with individuals and organisations on visual arts strategy, organisational/ professional development. In 2008/09 I was NESTA Innovation Fellow on the Clore Leadership Programme.

For the past decade I have worked on freelance projects including:

  • developing the award-winning Hepworth Wakefield’s pre-opening business plan
  • supporting Tate Liverpool, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Turner Contemporary, Focal Point Gallery and most recently Ripon Museum Trust to create organisational change
  • visual arts strategy review and research for Tate National and evaluation of ARTIST ROOMS.

I contribute to publications, research, advisory groups and conferences as well as publishing a blog about arts leadership and management.

I also regularly work with specialist leadership and coaching training company Relational Dynamics 1st, for whom I deliver training with clients including West Yorkshire Playhouse, Yorkshire Dance, Arts Council England and Royal Opera House.
