I work with art galleries and museums, arts and cultural organisations, creative businesses and social enterprises on business, organisational and professional development issues.
My main services include:
- coaching and facilitation
- business planning and development
- research and analysis
- professional and organisational development
I adopt a highly collaborative style whether as a senior manager within an organization, or working as an external consultant. Whilst a visual arts expert, I regularly work and look beyond the gallery to other artforms, social enterprise and internationally in search of new ideas and approaches.
I enjoy working with smaller organisations including Artquest and Beaconsfield, as well as national companies such as NCVO, Mission, Models and Money and Tate and offer discounted rates to organisations with a turnover of less than £500K. I always strive to provide an excellent service and I’m pleased that many of my clients become repeat customers.
Please give me a ring, or drop me an email, to find out more about how I could help your organisation. Initial consultations are always free, and if I can’t help then I’m always happy to suggest someone else who could. I also regularly work in association with other consultants who bring complementary skills or expertise to projects.
“Claire’s strengths and experience lie in her deep understanding of the critical, practical, developmental and economic landscape of the cultural and creative industries, in particular the visual arts and crafts sector. Claire works industriously, creatively and with good humour, a much needed asset in the arts sector.”
Stephen Beddoe, Artquest
“I’ve found working with Claire particularly useful because she clearly and succinctly identifies what needs doing and what our respective roles are in moving forward. Most importantly, she is the critical friend who will tell me what I need to hear, even if it’s an uncomfortable message. During busy times, Claire’s realistic approach is exactly what I need.”
Dr Karl Wilding, Head of Research, NCVO
